I really love all kind of special gathering! So of course, Birthdays are a BIG thing for me! Especially this one… Our first son’s birthday! It was so hard to pick a theme, so I decided to go with colors instead. Blue, mint, green, silver…
To celebrate Oscar’s first birthday I really wanted a special cake! Something I could customize eventually. After a lot of researches, I decided to go with Empire Cake bakery! Great choice! They were super fast to answer all of my questions. Very easy to work with! This year, we went with something pretty simple; a blue cake with few white clouds and topped with the cutest little bunny! I couldn’t have hope for a better cake! Flavor wise we choose hazelnut which was delicious.
We invited few friends to come over in the afternoon to celebrate this special day! We did a nice little buffet with sweets and savory snacks. Little finger sandwiches, hummus and dips, cheeses… On the sweet side, along with the cake, we had little customized cupcakes from Sprinkles (I love their different choices to customize cupcakes! You can do everything on their website! So easy to place an order for your special occasions! We also had a selection of cookies and delicious petits fours from Laduree.
It was a great time we had for our Baby Oscar! A beautiful afternoon surrounded with all our friends! Can’t wait to celebrate Oscar’s 2nd birthday already!
