For our “date night” we chose to finally give a try to this new wine bar in tribeca!

Farra wine bar is the little sister of Atera restaurant (2 star Michelin).
The inside with their high ceilings is beautiful! I loved the wood touch, brick wall and the nice brass details.
The place is tiny so you can admire the kitchen and the team cooking for you! (You might smell a little bit when you get out though!)
For starters we picked the salmon tartare with potato chips and nori & the sunchoke velouté with halibut and croutons. Both So good!

For main courses, we went for the rice and scallops! Such an interesting mix of flavors (egg roe, fried rice, scallops and egg yolk) – so yummy! – we also tried their lobster ravioli! If I had to use the word umami that’s it! Absolutely loved it!

Finally we tried their lamb shank. It was good but a little too “fatty” for my taste. Their potatoe purée was to die for though!

For dessert, we had the pineapple with sesame and chocolate! Love the mix of flavors (even though I’m usually not a fan of chocolate with fruits)

Their wine list is very large! Great selection – we tried a Pinot noir from St rita Hills!
Definitely a great evening! Will go back to try different things on their menu!
