Christmas 2019

Christmas is my favorite Holiday! And now with Oscar, more than never! I was very excited for our first Christmas as a family. I love everything about this holiday. It brings me joy, love and always beautiful memories. Since almost 10 years, we are celebrating our holidays with our closest friends from NYC. I love this tradition! Sharing delicious food, cheers with tasty wines and opening gifts altogether!

Every year I cant wait to find new inspirations to decor our table!

This year, I chose to go with some touch of light woods, pine tree and gold. I wanted this chic and cozy vibes for our Christmas table.

We spend this special Christmas Eve dinner with our dear friends Tania and Charlene. Both very talented cooks! 🙂

For l’apero, Charlene made us amazing appetizers! A christmas tree made of delicate puff pastry and homemade pesto & some homemade gougères. Tania did some homemade blinis with smoked salmon and cream! Of course, we also had the inevitable french delicatesse… Terrine de foie gras! My forever “pĂŞchĂ© mignon”!

For dinner we started with a hot sunchoke et truffle velouté, followed by a homemade beef Wellington! It was a first for my Chef Adrian! He totally nailed it! It was soooo good, I am still dreaming of it! Then some cheeses (so french of us!) and finally an assortment of desserts! Tania made us her famous Tres leches. Charlene brought a Chocolate Yule log from Benoit Restaurant! And we enjoyed few macarons from Ladurée.

To go along with all this festive dinner, we drank some delicious champagne and a magnum of one of my favorite red wine; a CĂ´te Rotie 2006. It was a great pair with the beef!

Like I used to do with my father as a kid… Now that Christmas 2019 is over, I am already counting days before the next one!!

Until then, be merry and joyful!
